During a songwriting retreat I had the pleasure of writing with Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones. Within a few hours of meeting we had put this song together and recorded it. All first takes and speed-mixed, this is how it came out. We're pretty pleased with it.

Its been a long and lonley winter
Its been a dark and dreary time
Ive kept my cards close to my chest
Ive held my breath since last July

They say you crime had made the headlines
My neighbour broke the news
But we have starved and we have suffered
You have worked and paid your dues

So I wont tell the Sherriff or the Priest
Keep it buried with the fallen leaves
And when this Wintertime goes
Itll pass with the melting snow

I keep a trinket in my garden
Wrapped in cloth and yellow twine
Its as close to a confession as we'll go
Youve done your time
